It was our very first morning of vacation. We had spent the previous three days driving in the car from our home in Austin, to the beach in North Carolina. It is a trip my kids look forward to every year…a week with their “favorite cousins”. Of course they were so excited they woke up at sunrise. I looked at the clock (5:30am) and almost sent them back to bed when I saw the amazing light coming through the window. We hopped out of bed and ran to the beach in our jammies to play in the gorgeous golden hour light. A perfect start to vacation.
