Arkansas Bend Park | Where We Live

Each month I participate in a blog circle with women from all around the world where we share a bit about what it’s like Where We Live. This month we set out to discover Arkansas Bend Park. We didn’t really know what to expect; my quick search on google found it to be one of the least used parks in the area…possibly because it was an hour outside of town? Okay, so yes it was far, but the views during the drive were amazing and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a day of swimming + outdoor fun. There are miles of shoreline to explore + campsites with amazing views of Lake Travis.

The very first thing we did when we got there (besides taking in the view) was hike down to the shore for a little rock throwing. The beach was covered in smooth flat rock…perfect for skipping.

Lillie was very excited when she discovered someones forgotten box of earthworms. The girls made it their mission to save save them all.

About half way to the shore is a nice flat area perfect for flying kites. It also happens to have a billion tiny flowers 🙂

We left Arkansas Bend Park happy, relaxed, and most importantly, with tired kids. I’d say that is a win 😉 Thanks for stopping by, next in our blog circle of talented women, Stacey from Pics & Paper check her out!
