frequently asked questions

How do I reserve a photography session? A 50%($375) deposit is required to reserve your session date along with my signed contract/agreement. For more details about pricing and packages please see the pricing page.

How long does it take before my photos are ready? And how do I get them? It typically takes 2-3 weeks for me to finish editing your sessions images. Once complete, I will upload them to a password protected gallery you can share with family or friends. Here you will be able to view your images, order prints + albums, and download the high resolution files. Prints and wall art are shipped first class with insurance + tracking and come beautifully packaged in a keepsake box.

What should I wear to my session? Selecting the perfect outfit for your photography session can be stressful. I suggest picking outfits with coordinating colors vs matching. Mix things up with layers, textures, and cool accessories…think hats, statement jewelry, scarfs! Be sure you and your little ones are comfortable, dressed appropriately for the weather,  and can move well in their clothes + shoes. We walk a lot during sessions so it isn’t a bad idea to bring a pair of flip flops or more comfortable walking shoes. I love outfits that can show movement…flowey skirts + dresses and hair worn down + natural is my favorite. The most important tip I can give is to be YOU! Let your outfit show off your personality. Where do the sessions take place? Outdoor sessions take place during the golden hour…(read more about the magic hour before sunset here). I am based out of South Austin and have several locations to recommend based on the season. Sessions can also take place in your home or favorite outdoor destination.

How long do sessions typically last? A typical session lasts about 1-1.5 hours. Families with young children are sometimes ready to call it quits closer to an hour while couples, seniors, and families with older children can sometimes go longer.

What happens if my kids have a meltdown during the session? If there is one thing that can always be counted on, it is the fact that kids will ALWAYS be kids. Sometimes they run around like crazy, sometimes they cry, sometimes they make silly faces at the camera. Whatever they are doing, they are being real and true to themselves which is basically my goal for the session. Sometimes the hardest part is convincing mom + dad that everything will be alright, to relax and go with the flow. If I notice that your little one is getting bored at a particular time during our session, we simply move on, explore and keep things interesting for them. I always encourage parents to use your session as a family bonding time. Play with your kids, hug, cuddle, or kiss them. Be loving with your spouse/partner laugh, and to let the kids be kids. #LetTheKids

Do you travel? Sessions taking place more than 20 miles from my home in area code 78704 will incur a $.50 per mile fee.
