Welcome to Austin, the city where we live. Every month I will be featuring a post about our beautiful city that I love so much. I think it may be the best city ever, and I can’t wait to show it to you!! I am working on this project with a fabulous group of ladies from around the world who will be showing us what life is like where they live. When your done here, please check out the next person in our blog circle, my friend over at Jennifer Reynolds Photography.
For my first blog post , Noah and I headed to Butler Park. It’s very close to Lillian’s Preschool and we spend a lot of time here exploring. We had just finished taking some photos behind a shaded wall and were getting back into the car when I noticed the interesting light. I snapped this photo one handed, while putting Noah into the car and holding my rottweiler’s leash. Multitasking anyone?
The Liz Carpenter Fountain, a popular splash-pad on warmer days, has beautiful views of the city.
We found this tree struck by the lightning storm that the kids had been enjoying the night before.
After leaving butler park we headed to Whole Foods Market to play on the rooftop playground. To our surprise they had this awesome spaceship structure.
Thanks for checking out my favorite city! Don’t forget to stop by Jennifer’s blog.
I loved seeing a bit of Austin! I lived there a long time ago, and it’s been a long time since I’ve been back. The splash pad area looks like a lot of fun, and of course the bluebonnets are beautiful.
In my mind, I always think Austin would be the perfect place to live. Your photos are convincing me further. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at these beautiful images!
These are gorgeous! The tree struck by lightning is crazy! I’ve never seen such a thing before.
LOVE! That first image needs to be made into a postcard!!!
Love that first image….you have amazing multi-tasking skills! I’ve never been to Austin, but I would love to check out that Whole Foods with a playground on its roof! Great images Paige!
Beautiful images Paige! We have family in Austin and visit there often. I’m looking forward to learning about some new places to check out while we’re there.

Love that you captured yourself in this series as well! I can’t believe you took that first image single-handed while multi-tasking. It is gorgeous!
Austin is a city I’ve always wanted to visit. It looks so interesting. I love the image of your son with his truck & the splash pad in front of him. What a great place for kids to play.
Wow! What a day of adventure! Gorgeous images.
